The demand for logistic spaces moves on to medium-sized cities as well

Our perspective

More than 230,000 sq. m of logistic spaces was leased in the first nine months of the current year, throughout the country.

Bucharest and Timisoara were the preferred destinations, with nearly half of the total leased areas (Bucharest 65,600 sq. m, Timisoara 41,200 sq. m), followed by Brasov (16,000 sq. m), Cluj (26,600 sq. m), Pitesti (14,000 sq. m), Ploiesti (28.900 sq. m), Ramnicu Valcea (12,800 sq. m), Targu Mures (3,500 sq. m) and Sibiu (11,500 sq. m. ).

A particularity of this year is the increase in the percentage of leased premises for retailers & e-commerce companies – 80,000 square meters (nearly a third of the total leased areas during January-September 2015).

The second position in the ranking of the most active areas is held by the companies manufacturing automotive components – 63,000 square meters, followed by logistic companies – 44,200 square meters.
